01.12.2010: wobble updated
Added a Maya 2011 version of the wobble. Really, really sorry it took that long. There are some nice additions/improvements: (now working) weights painting, better UI integration, falloff controllable indiviualy using a ramp, falloff invertable.

29.02.2008: feTools updated
Another update to my plug-ins. Finally I got a Mac OSX version, also all for Maya 2008 now.
There is a new version (0.9) of wobble, which introduces a new attribute called space offset that lets you move the noise independent from the deform mode and the deformer handle's translation. I also added the ability, to deform an object in direction of the surface normals. This works for polygon and NURBS-surface objects only at the moment, no SubDs and - understandably - no particles supported. Also NURBS in normal mode is quite slow, which is not at least an API-problem. The locator handle still looks kind of dumb, this will be improved in the next version (I'm currently working on).
The fePrimitives plug-ins have just been updated to the new Maya version - nothing new yet. I am sorry about that, because there are some interesting new features in the pipeline, like e.g. UV generation, slice/sweep, better MEL-command integration and a few other little things. This just takes some time and unfortunately (or fortunately, because I really like it) my job is a real challenge and that often doesn't leave much time to work on those things.
15.05.2007: fePrimitives updated
The update covers Maya 8.5 Win & Linux and now includes also 64 bit versions for Maya 8.0/8.5 Win & Linux. No functional changes here, this will be the case in the next release.
05.12.2006: Moving to Hamburg
Since December 2006 I work as a rendering TD and developer at [zerone] cgi, a small postproduction and visualisation company based in Hamburg.
17.10.2006: Felix-Ulber.com is online
Welcome to my new web presence. Have a look around: At the services page there's an overview of my field of work. Convince yourself by having a look at the gallery page, download the Showreels or examine the tools I released in the download area.
In the following weeks there will be some updates and enhancements of this site, content- and layout-wise, so come visit me again and stay tunded. I also consider making a german version, so if you think that would be useful please let me know.
I highly recommend using Firefox/Camino or Safari to browse this website beacuse Internet Explorer has some problems rendering CSS layout correctly.
So far, keep on rendering! :-D
09.10.2006: wobble deformer released
Just released wobble for Maya, a deformer based on perlin noise. Its available in the download section as well as on highend3d.com.
29.09.2006: fePrimitives released
Just released fePrimitives for Maya, an extended set of nine polygon and seven NURBS-curve primitives. It's available in the download section as well as on highend3d.com. These tools are completely integraded into Maya's UI and support construction history so you can use them in the same way you use Maya's built-in primitives. However there are some advanced options Maya's standard primitives do not have :) Have Phun!
